Phthalonitrile compounds are considerable pioneer in synthesis of novel photoactive phthalocyanine derivatives. The spectroscopic properties (IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and mass) and antioxidant activity of the novel (3a and 3b) or previously synthesized (3c and 3d) phthalonitrile compounds were studied.
