Eğitsel Şarkı ve Oyun Tekniklerinin Öğrencilerin Akademik Başarıları ve Kalıcılığı Üzerine Etkileri

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, ilkokul 4. sınıf Fen Bilimleri dersi "Maddeyi Tanıyalım" ünitesinde eğitsel şarkı ve oyunlarla işlenen derslerin öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına ve kalıcılığına etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, 2016-2017 eğitim-öğretim yılının 1. döneminde Bayburt il merkezinde bulunan MEB'e bağlı Cumhuriyet İlkokulunun iki şubesindeki 38 dördüncü sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak; Maddeyi Tanıyalım Başarı Testi (MTBT) kullanılmıştır. Sınıflardan biri deney grubu (n22) olarak, diğeri ise kontrol grubu (n16) olarak rastgele seçilmiştir. Araştırmada deney grubu öğrencileri eğitsel şarkı ve oyunlarla öğrenimini sürdürürken, dersler kontrol grubunda Fen Bilimleri dersi öğretim programında öngörülen kazanımlara uygun öğretim yöntem ve tekniklerine göre yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verilerini test etmek için bağımlı (PairedSamples t-test) ve bağımsız (IndependentSamples t-test) gruplar t testi kullanılmıştır. Yapılan istatistiki çalışmalar sonucunda; eğitsel şarkı ve oyunlarla işlenen derslerin öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını artırdığı ve başarılarında kalıcılık sağladığı görülmüştür

Aim of this research is to investigate effects of lessons which are taught by using pedagogical songs and games on academic success of students and permanence of this success in “Let’s know matter” unit in the fourth-grade Science course. Model group of the research was composed of 38 fourth-grade students of two different classes of Cumhuriyet Primary School run by Minister of National Education in Bayburt city center in fall semester of 20162017 School Year. The main data collection instrument was the Let’s Know Matter Success Test (MTBT). One of the classrooms was selected randomly as the experimental group (n22) and the other was selected as the control group (n16). While the students in the experimental taught according to teaching methods and techniques appropriate to learning outcomes envisaged in the curriculum of the science course.Paired Samples t-test and Independent Samples t-tests were utilized to analyze the data. According the results of statistical analysis, it is seen that use of pedagogical songs and games increases academic success of students and permanence of this success
