Fen bilgisi öğretmenliği öğrencilerinin fen ve teknoloji ders programı hakkındaki görüşleri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği ikinci ve dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerinin Fen ve Teknoloji Ders Programı hakkında var olan bilgilerini ortaya çıkarmak ve Fen ve Teknoloji ders programına ilişkin görüşlerini almak amaçlanmıştır. Bu araştırmanın örneklemini Bayburt Üniversitesi, Eğitim Fakültesi 2008-2009 eğitim öğretim yılı bahar dönemi Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği ikinci sınıf (30 kişi) ve dördüncü sınıf (30 kişi) öğrencileri oluşturmuştur. Öğrencilere araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan görüşme formu uygulanmış ve Fen ve Teknoloji Ders Programı’nda gördükleri eksik yönleri belirlemeleri ve bu eksik yönlere çözüm önerileri geliştirmeleri hususunda bir araştırma ödevi verilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler, betimsel analiz yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Görüşme formu verilerine göre, Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği 2. sınıf öğrencilerinin program hakkındaki bilgileri daha teorik ifadeleri (kitabi bilgiler) içerirken; Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin bilgilerini daha çok uygulama (okul yaşantıları) ile ilişkilendirerek açıkladıkları görülmüştür. Programdaki eksiklikler hakkındaki görüşlerine bakıldığında ise daha çok uygulamada sıkıntılar yaşandığını belirterek çözüm önerileri geliştirmişlerdir.

The purpose of this study is to reveal 2nd and 4th grades elementary science education students’ knowledge of science and technology curriculum and to explore their opinion about this curriculum. The sample of the study consisted of total 60 2nd and 4th grade students (30 students from each grade) enrolled in department of science education in the faculty of education, Bayburt University in 2008-2009 academic year- spring semester. It is intended to explore students’ written opinions of deficiencies in science and technology curriculum and their suggestions for the curriculum development by using open-ended questions developed by the researchers. The data was descriptively analyzed. The findings indicate that the 2nd grades have more theoretical knowledge of curriculum than 4th grades do though 4th grades can explain their knowledge by associating with the practice. Moreover, 4th grade students’ responses of the deficiency of curriculum it is found that they have difficulty with implementing curriculum in practice.
