Akran Öğretimi Tekniğinin 6. Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Vücudumuzdaki Sistemler Ünitesine Yönelik Başarı Düzeylerine Etkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, akran öğretimi tekniğinin 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin fen bilgisidersindeki akademik başarı düzeyleri üzerinde etkisinin olup olmadığının incelenmesidir.Araştırma ön test - son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel modelde desenlenmiştir. AraştırmayaAnkara ili Keçiören ilçesindeki özel bir ortaokulun 6/A ve 6/B sınıflarında öğrenim gören 46öğrenci katılmıştır (Kız: 25, Erkek: 21). Sınıflardan biri uygulama grubu (6/A, N: 24), diğeriise kontrol grubu olarak (6/A, N: 22) olarak belirlenmiştir. Uygulama grubundaki öğrencilerarasından 6 öğrenci “Öğreten Akran” olarak seçilmiştir. Belirlenen 6 öğrencinin araştırmaöncesi, 40’ar dakikalık 5 oturumda öğreten akran olarak yetiştirilme sürecigerçekleştirilmiştir. Öğreten akranların eğitim sürecinin ardından, uygulama grubunda 8hafta süreyle “Vücudumuzdaki Sistemler” ünitesi akran öğretimi tekniğiyle yürütülmüştür.Bu süreçte, kontrol grubunda ise geleneksel öğretim teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaverileri, İnel (2009) tarafından geliştirilen “Vücudumuzdaki Sistemler Ünitesi AkademikBaşarı Testi” aracılığıyla elde edilmiştir. Yapılan araştırma sonucunda, akran öğretimininaraştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin fen bilgisi dersindeki akademik başarı düzeyleri üzerindegeleneksel öğretime göre daha etkili olduğu ortaya konulmuştur.

The aim of this research is to teach peer tutoring to 6th grade students.Research pre-test - post-test Designed in semi-experimental model with control group.According to the research, a total of 46 students (Female: 25, Male: 21) participated in 6 / Aand 6 / B classes in a private secondary school in the Kecioren district of Ankara province.One of the classes was the application group (6 / A, N: 24) and the other was the controlgroup (6 / A, N: 22). The students in the application group were selected as "Teacher Peer".The process of cultivating peers was conducted before the research of the 6 determinedstudents and at 5 sessions at the forty minutes. In the training program of the educating peers,the 8 week practice was done with peer teaching technique in the context of "Systems in ourBody". In this process, control also has traditional teaching techniques. The research datahas been reached by Inel (2009) in the "Academic Achievement Test of Systems Unit in OurBody" series. As a result of the study, it was revealed that peer education is more effective onthe academic achievement levels of the science students in the research than the traditionalteaching.
