TÜRKİYE İLE BRICS ÜLKELERİ ARASINDAKİ DIŞ TİCARET POTANSİYELİNİN LİNDER HİPOTEZİ ÇERÇEVESİNDE DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, 1996 – 2016 dönemindeTürkiye’nin BRICS ülkeleri (Brezilya, Rusya,Hindistan, Çin ve Güney Afrika) ile yaptığı ihracat veithalatta Linder hipotezinin geçerliliği panel verianalizi kullanılarak araştırılmıştır.Çalışma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre,Türkiye ile BRICS ülkeleri arasında ihracat açısındanLinder hipotezi geçerlidir. Buna göre, Türkiye ileBRICS ülkelerinin kişi başına düşen GSMHdüzeyleri arasındaki fark azaldıkça Türkiye’nin buülkelere yaptığı ihracat artmaktadır. Bir başkaifadeyle, Türkiye ile ticaret ortakları olan BRICSülkelerinin kişi başına düşen GSMH’ları arasındakifarkın %1 azalması, Türkiye’nin ihracatını % 0.09oranında artırmaktadır. Bu durum Türkiye ile BRICSülkeleri arasındaki ticaretin endüstriler arasıolduğunu göstermektedir. Ayrıca BRICS ülkelerininGSMH’larında meydana gelecek %1’lik bir artış iseTürkiye’nin ihracatını % 2.867 oranındaartırmaktadır. Diğer yandan yine çalışmadan eldeedilen sonuçlara göre, Türkiye ile BRICS ülkeleriarasında ithalat açısından Linder hipotezi geçerlideğildir.

In this study, Linderhypothesis validity for Turkey's exports and importswith BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China andSouth Africa) in 1996-2016 period have beeninvestigated using panel data analysis.According to the results of the study, Linder hypothesisis valid in terms of exports between Turkey and BRICScountries. Accordingly, the difference of per capitaGNP levels between Turkey and BRICS countries aslong as decreases, the exports of Turkey’s to thesecountries increase. In other words, %1 decrease in thedifference of per capita GNP levels between Turkeyand BRICS countries increases the exports of Turkeyrate of 0.09%. This shows that the trade betweenTurkey and BRICS countries is interindustry trade. Onthe other hand, 1% increase in GNP of BRICScountries increases export of Turkey rate of 2.867%.Linder Hypothesis is not valid in terms of importationin between Turkey and BRICS countries.
