Serbest Etkinlikler Dersinin Amacına Hizmet Etme DerecesininÖğretmen Görüşlerine Göre İncelenmesi*

Abstract

Bu araştırma, sınıf öğretmenlerinin serbest etkinlikler dersini, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'nın yayınlamış olduğu yönerge doğrultusunda işleme durumunu, öğretmenlerin dersin amacına hizmet etme durumuna olan inancını ve bu inancın çeşitli değişkenlerle olan ilişkisini belirlemek amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, Ağrı il merkezinde görev yapmakta olan 300 sınıf öğretmeninden seçkisiz-oransız örnekleme yöntemiyle oluşturulmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Serbest Etkinlikler Dersini Değerlendirme Anketi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda sınıf öğretmenlerinin serbest etkinlikler dersini, eksik kalmış kazanımları yetiştirme amacıyla kullandığı belirlenmiştir. Dersin amacına hizmet derecesi ile ilgili olarak sınıf öğretmenlerinin büyük bir çoğunluğu olumsuz görüş belirtmiş, dersin amacına hizmet etme derecesi ile öğretmenlerin mesleki kıdemleri ve eğitim durumları arasında anlamlı ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir

This research is a descriptive study-a type of general survey- to determine if free activities courses are offered by the instructions of Ministry of Education, teachers' belief about the degree to which this course serves its aim and the relationship between this belief with various variables. 300 primary school teachers who work in Ağrı were the sample of this research chosen by using random non-portional sampling. In this research, Free Activities Course Evaluation Questionnaire developed by one of the researchers was used. Although catch up education is forbidden, it was recognized that the great majority of primary school teachers use free activities course to complete missing gain from other courses, for preparation of examination and for practice exams. A large amount of primary teachers indicated negative views about the efficiency degree of the course. Meaningful relationships are determined between the degree of serving course purpose and teachers' experience and educational status.
