Analysis of heat pumps with zeotropic refrigerant mixtures by taguchi method
Abstract
The goal of this work is to determine the optimum set of parameters by using the Taguchi method in vapour compression heat pump systems. The experimental apparatus consist of an air-to-liquid vapor compression heat pump, a water cooled condenser, a forced air evaporator, an electrical air and water heaters, and various measuring elements and other auxiliary equipments. Refrigerants R22, R407C, and five of their binary mixtures which contain about 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% mass fractions of R407C were tested. To determine the effect of the chosen parameters on the system and optimum working conditions, an experimental design method suggested by Genichi Taguchi was used. The most effective parameters are found to be the condenser water mass flow rate for the coefficient of performance and to be condenser water inlet temperature for the exergetic efficiency. ©2008 TIBTD Printed in Turkey.

A new method for determination of dynamic stability of self-consolidating concrete: 3-Compartment sieve test
Gökçe H.S.; Andiç-Çakır Ö. (Elsevier Ltd, 2018)There are many standard test methods and applications to determine or estimate the workability of fresh concrete mixtures, most of them are focused on highly flowable concrete mixtures. Due to its high flowability, ... -
A new energy saving for the determination of mixing temperature in hot mix asphalts
Yener E.; Hinislioglu S. (2011)The equi-viscous temperature range of asphalt has long been used in establishing the mixing temperature for mix designs and field production of hot mix asphalt (HMA). However, this method considers only binder viscosity ... -
Effect of fly ash and silica fume on hardened properties of foam concrete
Gökçe H.S.; Hatungimana D.; Ramyar K. (Elsevier Ltd, 2019)In this study, the effects of foam content as well as fly ash and silica fume inclusion on some physical and mechanical properties of foam concrete, subjected to various curing regimes, were researched. Totally, forty-five ...
