Öğe Investigation of the effect of group counselling based on schema therapy on academic expectation stress in high school students(John Wiley and Sons Inc, 2023) Koçak, Lokman; Çelik, EyüpThis research is a preliminary evaluation study to determine whether group counselling based on schema therapy has an effect on academic expectation stress in high school students. In this study, a 2 × 3 split-plot design was used. The Academic Expectation Stress Inventory was applied for data collection purposes. The effect of group counselling based on schema therapy on academic expectation stress was tested using a two-factor ANOVA for mixed measurements. As a result of the analysis, the intervention*time effect was found to be significant with regard to academic expectation stress. The findings obtained in the study reveal that group counselling based on schema therapy creates a significant decrease in adolescents' academic expectation stress level, and this decline continues, as shown in the follow-up test. As a result, it can be said that the group counselling programme based on schema therapy, which was developed as a preliminary evaluation study, has the potential to reduce the academic expectation stress level of high school students. © 2022 British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.Öğe Investigation of The Relationship Between Resilience, Self-Compassion, and Attachment Styles in Interpersonal Relationships In Married Individuals(Bayburt University, 2022) Koçak, Merve Çimen; Çelik, EyüpThis study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between resilience, self-compassion, and attachment styles. The study group consists of a total of 1026 married individuals, 574 females (55.9%) and 452 males (44.1%) aged 18 and above. As data collecting tools, "Brief Resilience Scale", "The Self Compassion Scale" and "Attachment Styles Scale in Interpersonal Relationships" were used. In the study, the relationships between resilience and self-compassion, and attachment styles were examined by correlation and regression analysis. As a result of the correlation analysis, a significant relationship has been found between resilience and self-compassion, secure attachment, anxious attachment, and avoidant attachment. From the result of the analysis, it has been determined that the resilience levels of the married individuals were significantly predicted by self-compassion, secure attachment, and anxious attachment variables, while it has been not predicted by avoidant attachment variables. The findings obtained have been discussed in the context of the literature.Öğe The mediating role of time attitude in the relationship between self-esteem and resilience in high school students(Duzce University, Faculty of Education, 2023) Çelik, Eyüp; Süler, Melek; Söylemez, Aydın; Koçak, LokmanThe aim of this research was to investigate the mediating role of time attitudes in the relationship between self-esteem and resilience in high school students. High school students’ self-esteem, time attitude, and resilience have been researched comparatively. The research was carried out with a quantitative research design and survey method. Participants, who were selected using a convenience sampling method, were high school students. The 1,932 participants consisted of students in the following grade distribution: 793 ninth grade (248 male, 545 female); 365 tenth grade (78 male, 257 female); 350 eleventh grade (90 male, 260 female); and 434 twelfth grade (130 male, 324 female). Participants were selected from secondary education institutions in Sakarya and Kocaeli during COVID-19 from January to May 2021. Data were collected using tools such as the Two Factored Self-Esteem Scale, Adolescent Time Attitude Scale, and Ego Resilience Scale. The data was analyzed with correlation analysis and regression-based mediation analysis to investigate the relationship between self-esteem, time attitude and resilience. The SPSS 22 package program was used to analyze the data. After analyzing the data, it has been concluded that the time attitude in adolescents indeed has a mediating role in the relationship between self-esteem and resilience. The results of the research will make important contributions to the related literature. © 2023, Pharmaceutical Association of Serbia. Ayrıca çalışmada strese yatkınlık puanlarının cinsiyete ve medeni duruma göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık göstermediği bulunmuştur.Öğe The mediating role of time attitude in the relationship between self-esteem and resilience in high school students(Duzce University, Faculty of Education, 2023) Çelik, Eyüp; Süler, Melek; Söylemez, Aydın; Koçak, LokmanThe aim of this research was to investigate the mediating role of time attitudes in the relationship between self-esteem and resilience in high school students. The study was an observational cross-sectional study based on the survey with the aim to determine the mediation role of anxiety sensitivity in the relationship between interpersonal competence and phubbing. In this context, data were collected from a convenience sample of 321 participants with the Phubbing Scale, Anxiety Sensitivity Index-3, Interpersonal Competence Scale (ICC)-Short Form. Data were analyzed with regression-based mediation analysis and Pearson correlation coefficient. The analysis demonstrated that phubbing was positively related to anxiety sensitivity and negatively related to interpersonal competence. Furthermore, the mediation analysis showed that the anxiety sensitivity had a mediating effect in the relationship between interpersonal competence and phubbing. Furthermore, the bootstrap (10000) method was used to determine whether the mediation analysis was significant. These findings suggest that the level of anxiety sensitivity partly explains the inverse relationship between interpersonal competence and phubbing. Research results both support previous research results and reveal new findings. The findings of the research indicate that anxiety sensitivity is more effective than interpersonal competence in phubbing.
