Contributions to the Genus Clubiona (Araneae: Clubionidae) in Türkiye, with a New Record and Additional Notes
(2025) Aksan, Nurcan Demircan; Topçu, Aydın
Abstract: The family Clubionidae, referred to as sac spiders, comprises numerous genera and species. These spiders are widely distributed worldwide. Clubiona Latreille, 1804 is the largest genus in the family Clubionidae, with 528 species. The genus has 47 species distributed in Europe. The genus, which has many species worldwide, has only 14 species in Türkiye. The detailed study of these species contributes significantly to our understanding of the biodiversity in the region. To make new contributions to the genus Clubiona, specimens were collected and systematically studied in Bayburt province. Samples were collected from bushes, between the plant roots and under the stone. The species were examined and measured using an Olympus SZX-16 stereomicroscope. This study reports some members of the genus Clubiona from Bayburt province. C. diversa O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1862 is recorded for the first time from Türkiye. Together with the new record, C. brevipes Blackwall, 1841, C. neglecta O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1862 and C. pseudoneglecta Wunderlich, 1994 are given as new locality records from Bayburt province. Morphological characters and photos of the species are presented with a detailed description of the new record. In addition, the world distribution of the new record is shown with a map.

First Data on the Spider Fauna of Bayburt, with a New Record and Additional Notes (Arachnida: Araneae)
(2025) Aksan, Nurcan Demircan; Batur, Zikra
This study, which is the first araneo-fauna survey in Bayburt province, was carried out around the Bâbertî Campus of Bayburt University between June and September 2023. A total of 38 species belonging to 14 families were identified in the study. These species constitute the first locality records of Bayburt province. Of these species, Titanoeca tristis L. Koch, 1872 is determined as a new record for Türkiye. Also, the presence of Pardosa aquila Buchar & Thaler, 1998 is confirmed by the present study. Detailed descriptions, photographs and world distribution data of both species are presented. In addition, the copulatory organs of Pardosa aquila Buchar & Thaler, 1998 are compared with those of its closest relative, Pardosa italica Tongiorgi, 1966, found in the same region. All species identified in the study area are listed with their world distributions and references in Türkiye. Keywords: Araneae, Titanoeca tristis, biodiversity, Bayburt.

Three New Records for Spider (Arachnida: Araneae) Fauna of Türkiye
(2025) Aksan, Nurcan Demircan; Avşar, Jülide
As a result of the study carried out in Bayburt province, 3 new records for Türkiye were identified. These species are Agyneta fuscipalpus (C. L. Koch, 1836), Micaria lenzi Bösenberg, 1899 and Synaphris lehtineni Marusik, Gnelitsa & Kovblyuk, 2005. The genus Synaphris Simon, 1894, belonging to the family Synaphridae, which has a very rare distribution, is represented by 11 species worldwide. Only 4 of these species are distributed in Europe. Synaphris lehtineni Marusik, Gnelitsa & Kovblyuk, 2005 is extremely important as it represents the first recorded species of the family Synaphridae in Türkiye. The genus Agyneta Hull, 1911, belonging to the family Linyphiidae, one of the largest spider families in the world, has 201 species globally. Of these, 43 are also found in Europe. Agyneta fuscipalpus (C. L. Koch, 1836) has been added as a new record to the genus, which previously had only 3 species in Türkiye. The genus Micaria Westring, 1851, of the family Gnaphosidae, which has a wide distribution, is represented by 124 species worldwide. Of these, 34 are also found in Europe. Until now, 11 species of this genus have been identified from Türkiye. With this study, Micaria lenzi Bösenberg, 1899 has been recorded for the first time in Türkiye. The samples were collected from rocky areas and under stones. The specimens were identified using a stereomicroscope and photographed using a digital camera. The morphological characteristics and photographs of the new records are presented with their detailed descriptions.

Two New Records from Türkiye: Araeoncus altissimus Simon, 1884 and Trichoncus auritus (L. Koch, 1869) (Araneae: Linyphiidae)
(2025) Aksan, Nurcan Demircan; Topçu, Aydın
In the present study, two linyphiid species, Araeoncus altissimus Simon, 1884 and Trichoncus auritus (L. Koch, 1869), are recorded for the first time from Türkiye. Although both species are known from certain areas in Europe and the Caucasus, their presence in Türkiye had not been previously known. The detection of these species in Bayburt Province not only fills a biogeographical gap in their known distribution ranges, but also underscores the importance of regional faunistic surveys in revealing spider diversity. The specimens were collected from beneath stones and rocky habitats at three different locations in Bayburt province using forceps and a hand aspirator. The specimens were identified using a stereomicroscope and photographed using a digital camera. Descriptions and photographs of the morphological and genital characters of the new records are presented.
