Political participation is the actions taken by individuals to determine and influence the political arena. In this context, the political participation levels of Izmir and Bayburt provinces were compared. Quantitative research method was applied in the study. Demographic information form and political participation dimension of democratic participation scale were used in data collection. When the political participation levels of participants living in Izmir and Bayburt provinces were compared, a significant difference was determined in favor of Izmir province in all sub-dimensions and total political participation. The study recommends in-depth investigation of the factors affecting political participation.
