Öğe The Predictive Power of Parental Achievement Pressure and Academic Stress on School Burnout Among Secondary School Students(Bayburt University, 2023) Tatlı, Savaş; Atmaca, TanerThis study examined the role of academic stress and parental achievement pressure, which pose significant risks for school burnout among secondary school students. The research employed a quantitative research design, specifically the correlational survey model. The sample of the study consisted of 983 students enrolled in three schools in the central district of Düzce during the 2022-2023 academic year. Data were collected using three Likert-type scales: the Parental Achievement Pressure and Support Scale, the Academic Expectations-Related Stress Inventory, and the School Burnout Scale. When examining the relationships between the variables in the study, it was found that there was a positive, statistically significant, and low-level relationship between parental achievement pressure and academic stress, a positive, statistically significant, and moderate-level relationship between parental pressure and school burnout, and a positive, statistically significant, and low-level relationship between academic stress and school burnout. The predictive power of parental achievement pressure and academic stress on school burnout was determined to be 12.2%.
