    Hasan Kallimci's Work Titled "A Benim Çakır Oğlum Atatürk'ün Anıları " Examination in the Context of Vocabulary

    Vocabulary includes all the words of a language. However, vocabulary in terms of its subtypes; it consists of basic vocabulary, idioms, proverbs, terms, foreign words, formulaic expressions, translated words and formulaic expressions. Among its rich vocabulary, Turkish has a rich vocabulary that corresponds to stereotyped cultural codes, especially based on its historical roots. Examples of this richness have been kept alive in the oral and written genres of Turkish literature in every period of history. Children's literature works have an important place in terms of teaching Turkish to future generations, especially in the context of its cultural codes. One of the writers who produce works in this field in Turkey is Hasan Kallimci. In this study, the author's book "A Benim Çakır Oğlum Atatürk'ün Anıları" was examined in terms of cultural vocabulary. In the research designed in accordance with the qualitative approach, data was collected through document review. The purpose of the study is to determine the use of idioms, formulaic expressions and proverbs, which are among the vocabulary elements of the book that constitute of the study. Thus, the functional properties of stereotypical oral cultural memory elements in the example of children's literature were tried to be determined. As a result of the study, 62 idioms and 13 formulaic expressions were identified, but no proverbs were found.
