Öğe Development of Recycling and Reuse Attitude Scale for Secondary School Students(Kirsehir Ahi Evran University, 2024) Gökçe, Nazlı; Aydoğdu, Cansu Çetinkaya; Arslan, Esma; Bayram, Fatma Özge; Yetişensoy, Okan; Kilci, ZülalIn this research, it is aimed to develop a valid and reliable measurement instrument to determine the recycling and reuse attitude levels of secondary school students. For this purpose, exploratory sequential design, one of the mixed research models, was used in the study. The qualitative data were collected from 560 students studying at a middle socio-economic level secondary school and analyzed via content analysis. Expert opinion was applied for the scope and appearance validity of the scale. The quantitative data were obtained from 412 students for Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and 430 students for Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) for the structure validity. As a result of the EFA performed, a one-dimensional structure of 14 items with 6,238 eigenvalues, explaining 44,554% of the total variance, was reached. This structure was confirmed by CFA performed. As a result of the criterion-dependent validity study, results supporting the validity of the scale were obtained. The Cronbach Alpha coefficient of the scale was found to be 90 and the Split Half reliability coefficient was found to be 89. As a result of the analyses and evaluations, it has been concluded that the developed scale is a valid and reliable scale that can contribute to the literature. Based on the results obtained from the research, it has been suggested that new scientific studies can be carried out using the re-acquisition attitude scale for secondary school students.
