Öğe COMPARISON OF ANATOLIAN AND CYPRUS VARIANTS OF THE TALE "CHICKPEA BOY"(Bayburt University, 2025) Erduran, FilizFairy tales, which have evolved through various stages from past to present, are among the oldest literary genres that contain the social structure, behaviors, power and fears of the society in which they are located and display extraordinary features. The fairy tale genre, which first found a place to spread through close cultural activities, later spread all over the world by being translated from its original sources. The spread and development of the fairy tale genre has also influenced the culture of societies nourished by the same culture, resulting in the emergence of common characteristics. Turkish Cypriot culture has a very rich heritage that is worth investigating, both in terms of its unique characteristics and its relevance to the cultures of the Turkish world, especially Turkey. Anatolian Turks and Turkish Cypriots are two closely related communities. For this reason, the fairy tale traditions of both cultures are similar to each other. The main subject of our study is the comparative analysis of the "Nut Boy Tale" in Anatolian and Turkish Cypriot tales. It has been attempted to determine how the accumulation of fairy tales that preserve the social subconscious of the Anatolian area and Turkish Cypriot culture throughout history is reflected.
