dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı Fen ve Teknoloji, İlköğretim Matematik, Sınıf, Sosyal Bilgiler ve Okul Öncesi öğretmeni adaylarının çevre bilinçlerinin düzeyini belirlemek ve adayların anket puan ortalamalarının cinsiyete göre farklılık gösterip göstermediğini araştırmaktır. Çalışmaya Gazi Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Fen ve Teknoloji, İlköğretim Matematik, Sınıf, Sosyal Bilgiler ve Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği 4.sınıfında öğrenim gören toplam 230 öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Çalışmada betimsel yöntem kullanılmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının çevre bilinçlerini belirlemek için Erten (2004) tarafından geliştirilen 25 maddelik çevre bilinci anketi kullanılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde frekans, yüzde dağılımları ve bağımsız gruplar t testi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmasonucunda öğretmen adaylarının çevre bilinci ile ilgili bilişsel ve duyuşsal boyutlarının var olduğu fakat davranışsal boyutlarında yetersizlikler olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca kız ve erkek öğretmen adaylarının anket puan ortalamaları arasında anlamlı bir fark olmadığı gözlenmiştir.
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study was to determine the level of environmental consciousness of Pre-Service Primary Science, Primary Mathematics, Primary School Teacher, Primary Social Sciences and Pre-School teachers and to investigate whether the questionnaire mean scores of these Pre-Service teachers differ in according to the gender. 230 Pre-Service teachers from the departments of Primary Science Education, Primary Mathematics Education, Primary School Education, Primary Social Sciences Education and Pre-School Education of Gazi Education Faculty participated to the study. "Environmental consciousness" scale developed by Erten (2004) consisting 25 items was used to determine the participants' environmental consciousness. Frequency, percentage of obtained scores were calculated and independent groups t-test was used to determine whether there was a statistically significant difference between male and female Pre-Service teachers with respect to their environmental consciousness. The results of the study revealed that pre-service teachers possessed cognitive and sensitive dimensions of environmental consciousness but their behavioral dimensions were not sufficient. Also no meaningful difference between the questionnaire scores of male and female pre-service teachers was found.
