dc.description.abstractSome idioms we encounter in the Turkic language today bear traces of the period of linguistic contact between Turkic and Persian. These idioms, copied from Persian and introduced into Turkic, are often found in Turkic translations of the Quran following the advent of Islam. This article will argue that a phrase found in the standard language of Türkiye Turkish that exhibits idiomatic characteristics 'gününü görmek' may have been first translated from Persian into Turkic through the Rylands Quran translation. Furthermore, it will be demonstrated that the idiom in question emerged in a different lexical field than the previously attested Turkic idiom 'gün görmek' (seeing the day), and how, through its use in a negative discourse context, its religious connotation was gradually forgotten, based on its contextual meaning in Turkic syntax. Furthermore, the degree of idiomaticization of an idiom will be examined based on the semantic values of the signs constituting the idiom within the idiomatic semantic structure.
dc.description.abstractTürk dilinde bugün tanık olduğumuz kimi deyimler esasında Türkçe ve Farsça arasındaki dil ilişkileri döneminin izlerini taşır. Farsçadan kopyalanarak Türkçeye giren bu deyimler genellikle İslamiyet'le birlikte Türkçe Kur?an tercümelerinde de tanıklanmıştır. Yazıda, Türkiye Türkçesi ölçünlü dilinde tanıklanan ve deyim niteliği gösteren bir söz grubunun (gününü görmek) esasında ilk defa Rylands Kur?an tercümesi yoluyla Farsçadan Türkçeye tercüme edilmiş olabileceği iddia edilecek. Bunun yanı sıra, söz konusu deyimin Türkçede önceden beri tanıklanan 'gün görmek' deyiminden farklı bir sözlüksel alanda ortaya çıktığı ve 'olumsuz' söylem bağlamında kullanılarak zamanla nasıl dini anlamını unutturduğu Türkçe söz dizimindeki bağlamsal anlamından hareketle gösterilecektir. Ayrıca deyimin deyimleşme derecesi deyimi oluşturan göstergelerin deyimlik anlam yapılanması içindeki anlam değerleri temel alınarak incelenecektir.
