dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted to determine the current disaster literacy levels of classroom teachers and to reveal the level of preparedness of classroom teachers against disasters. The study group of the research consists of 250 classroom teachers working in Çorlu district of Tekirdağ in the 2023-2024 academic year by using simple random sampling method. For this purpose, exploratory sequential design, one of the mixed research designs, was used. The quantitative data of the study were collected with the Disaster Literacy Scale (AFOY) and the variables of gender, professional seniority and education level were examined using the SPSS 22.0 package program. In these examinations, no statistically significant difference was found for the gender and education level variables of disaster literacy, but a statistically significant difference was found in the professional seniority variable in the improvement and intervention sub-dimensions. Qualitative findings of the study were collected through interview questions prepared by the researcher and analyzed by content analysis method. As a result of the qualitative data, teachers' readiness for natural disasters was revealed, their opinions on disaster outcomes were taken and the teaching methods and techniques they used to transfer disaster outcomes were examined.
dc.description.abstractBu araştırma, sınıf öğretmenlerinin mevcut afet okuryazarlık düzeylerini tespit etmek ve aynı zamanda sınıf öğretmenlerinin afetlere karşı hazırbulunuşluk düzeylerini ortaya koymak amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu basit seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılında Tekirdağ'ın Çorlu ilçesinde göre yapan 250 sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Bu amaç çerçevesinde karma araştırma desenlerinden açımlayıcı sıralı desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel verileri Afet Okuryazarlık Ölçeği (AFOY) ile toplanıp SPSS 22.0 paket programı kullanılarak cinsiyet, mesleki kıdem ve eğitim düzeyi değişkenlerinde incelemeler yapılmıştır. Bu yapılan incelemelerde afet okuryazarlığının cinsiyet ve eğitim düzeyi değişkenleri için istatiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunamamış ancak iyileştirme ve müdahale alt boyutlarında mesleki kıdem değişkeni istatiksel olarak anlamlı fark görülmüştür. Araştırmanın nitel bulguları araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanılan görüşme soruları ile toplanılmış içerik analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Nitel verilerin sonucunda öğretmenlerin doğal afetlere karşı hazırbulunuşlukları ortaya konmuş, afet kazanımlarına yönelik görüşleri alınmış ve afet kazanımlarını aktarmada kullandıkları öğretim yöntem ve teknikleri incelenmiştir.
