Özet
Türk toplumu, tarihinin her döneminde aile kurumuna önem atfetmiş, onukutsamış ve bu nedenle hem kurulmasını hem de devam etmesini teşvik edici birçokritüel ve inancı ortaya çıkarmış bir millettir. Türklerde ailenin kurulduğunun resmiilanı düğün törenidir. Zaman içerisinde sosyo?ekonomik ve coğrafi farklılıklardandolayı düğün adetlerinde pek çok değişimler olmasına rağmen özü itibariyle hala,düğün adetleri toplumun çok önem verdiği ve titizlikle icra etmeye devam ettiğiadetlerden birisidir.Bu çalışmada da Trabzon ili Arsin ilçesinde yapılan düğün törenleri işlev, içerik vetarihsel boyut açılarından incelenip analiz edilmeye çalışılacaktır.
