dc.description.abstractIn this study, various types of wood protective oils (teak oil, tung oil, sauna oil, straw oil, kitchenware oil, solid countertop oil, terrace oil, and parquet oil) were applied to Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) wood. After application, the color and gloss properties of the wood were evaluated using the CIELAB color measurement system, focusing on L*, a*, b*, C*, and ho parameters. The results showed that the oils caused a darkening of the wood's light tones (decrease in L*), significant increases in red (a*) and yellow (b*) tones, and an enhancement in color saturation (C*). No significant changes were observed in the hue angle (ho) values. Terrace oil produced the highest increases in color parameters, while solid countertop oil and parquet oil helped maintain a more natural appearance. These findings highlight the importance of selecting appropriate oils to achieve the desired visual effect on Scots pine wood.
dc.description.abstractBu çalışmada, sarıçam (Pinus sylvestris L.) odununa farklı türlerde (tik yağı, tung yağı, sauna yağı, saman yağı, mutfak gereçleri yağı, masif tezgah yağı, teras yağı ve parke yağı) ahşap koruyucu yağlar uygulanmıştır. Uygulamalar sonrası, odunun parlaklık ve renk özellikleri CIELAB renk ölçüm sistemi kullanılarak L*, a*, b*, C* ve ho parametreleri üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar, yağların odunun açık tonlarını koyulaştırdığı (L* değerinde azalma), kırmızı (a*) ve sarı (b*) tonlarını belirgin şekilde artırdığı ve renk doygunluğunda (C*) artış sağladığı yönündedir. Ton açısı (ho) değerlerinde ise genel olarak anlamlı bir değişim gözlenmemiştir. Özellikle teras yağı, renk parametrelerinde en yüksek artışları sağlarken, masif tezgah yağı ve parke yağı doğal görünümün korunmasına olanak tanımıştır. Bu bulgular, sarıçam odununda istenen görsel etkiye göre uygun yağ seçiminin önemini ortaya koymaktadır.
