Özet

The identification of factors that affect people's continuous use of e-books on their mobile devices is critical for e-book publishers, e-reader manufacturers and academic researchers. This study proposes a research model that extends the expectation-confirmation model by incorporating perceived enjoyment and facilitating conditions to get a deeper understanding of continuance intention to use e-books in the mobile environment. The structural equation model (SEM) was used to analyse data which were collected from 1,663 e-book readers by an online survey. The results indicate that satisfaction, perceived enjoyment, perceived usefulness and facilitating conditions influence continuance intention significantly. Furthermore, users' confirmation of expectations has a positive effect on perceived usefulness, perceived enjoyment and satisfaction. Surprisingly, perceived usefulness does not have a significant effect on satisfaction. Based on these findings, the theoretical and practical implications, limitations, and recommendations for future research are also discussed.
