| dc.description.abstract | Descartes, who sees language as a manifestation or expression of thought, argues that the communication between animals does not have the characteristics of being a language since they do not have the ability to think. Similarly, no matter how perfectly a machine is designed, it cannot respond appropriately to unprecedented situations because it does not have the ability to think. The ability to think is required if we are to talk about the existence of a language. Therefore, language is only a human feature. However, people use this feature incorrectly and carelessly depending on their habits. In this study, how Descartes, who pursues certainty in science and argues that searching for certainty in science with everyday spoken language creates a problem, tries to overcome the deficiency of daily language by using the method of mathematics which has clear and indisputable results is discussed. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Dili düşüncenin bir belirtisi veya dışa vurumu olarak gören Descartes, düşünme yetisine sahip olmadıkları için hayvanların kendi aralarında kurduğu iletişimin bir dil olma özelliği taşımadığını ileri sürer. Benzer şekilde bir makine de ne kadar mükemmel tasarlanırsa tasarlansın, düşünme yetisine sahip olmadığı için herhangi bir yeni durum karşısında uygun cevap veremez. Dolayısıyla dilden bahsedebilmemiz için düşünme yetisinin olması gerekir. Bu nedenle dil sadece insana vergi bir özelliktir. Ancak insan bu özelliğini alışkanlıklarına bağlı olarak hatalı ve özensiz kullanmaktadır. Bu araştırmada, bilimde kesinlik peşinde olan ve gündelik konuşma diliyle bilimde kesinlik aramanın sorun oluşturduğunu ileri süren Descartes'ın, günlük dilin eksikliğini açık seçik ve tartışılmaz sonuçlara sahip olan matematiğin yöntemini kullanarak nasıl aşmaya çalıştığı tartışılmıştır. | |
