Özet
Çalışmanın amacı öğrencilerin geleneksel olmayan yazma türlerinden broşür ve şiiri kullanmalarının modern fizik konularını öğrenmelerini nasıl etkilediğini ve öğrencilerin bakış açısından süreci araştırmaktır. Araştırmada karma araştırma yöntemlerinden açıklayıcı desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi; Türkiye'nin kuzey doğusunda bir üniversitede fen bilgisi öğretmenliği bölümü 2. sınıfının iki ayrı şubesinde öğrenim gören toplam 93 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak ön-son test ve yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler kullanılmıştır. Ön-son test analizinde t testi kullanılmıştır. Görüşmeler içerik analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Yazma sürecinin olumlu tarafı öğrenmeyi kolaylaştırması, öğrencileri araştırmaya ve ayrıntılı çalışmaya yönlendirmesi ve onlara özgün bir ürün oluşturma fırsatı sağlaması; olumsuz tarafı ise bu yazma aktivitelerinin sayısal problem çözmede yeterli desteği sağlamaması ve hazırlık aşamasının uzun zaman alması olarak tespit edilmiştir. Şiir yazan öğrencilerin uyumlu kafiyeli yazmada daha çok zorluk çektikleri, broşür hazırlayan öğrencilerin ise görselleştirmede, anlatacaklarını broşüre sığdırmada sıkıntı yaşadıkları ve her iki grubun da muhataba uygun yazmada kısmen zorluk yaşadıkları belirlenmiştir.
The aim of this study is to examine how students are affected by the use of brochure and poem, types of non-traditional writing, and to investigate the process from the students' perspectives. In the study, explanatory pattern of mixed research has been used. The participants consist of a total of 93 second grade students enrolled in two different branches of science teacher education department at a university in the north east of Turkey. Pre-test – post-test design and semi-structured interviews are the data collection tools. T-test has been used for pre-test - post-test analysis. Interviews have been analyzed through content analysis. Positive sides of writing process are as follows: facilitating learning, directing students to research and to study elaborately and letting them produce an original product, and the negative side is that these writing activities cannot provide enough support for solving numerical problems and preparation process takes too much time. It has also been observed that the students that write poem have more difficulty in writing compatible rhymed poems and the students that prepare brochure have problems in visualization and fitting their stories in the brochures. And, both groups have also some difficulties in writing appropriately for the interlocutor.
