dc.description.abstractBu çalışma, Türk edebiyatının önemli isimlerinden biri olan Peyami Safa'nın hikâyeciliğini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Türk edebiyatında daha çok romanlarıyla tanınan yazar, hikâye türünde de dikkate değer eserler vermiştir. Bu tezde, Peyami Safa'nın hikâyeleri; yapısal özellikleri, tematik unsurları, kişi kadrosu, zaman ve mekân kullanımı ile dil ve üslup açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmada öncelikle Peyami Safa'nın hikâyeciliğine genel bir bakış sunulmuş, yazarın hikâyelerinde sıkça karşılaşılan anlatıcı türleri, olay örgüsü, mekân ve zaman kullanımı gibi yapısal unsurlar ele alınmıştır. Hikâyelerde işlenen temalar belirlenerek, bireyin iç dünyası, psikolojik çözümlemeler, toplumsal eleştiriler ve gelenek-modernleşme çatışması gibi konular analiz edilmiştir. Ayrıca, yazarın dil ve üslup özellikleri değerlendirilmiş, hikâyelerinin edebiyat tarihindeki yeri üzerinde durulmuştur. Elde edilen bulgular, Peyami Safa'nın hikâyelerinde bireyin iç dünyasını ve toplumsal yapıyı yansıtan güçlü bir anlatı kurduğunu göstermektedir. Yazarın eserlerinde kullandığı anlatım teknikleri, psikolojik çözümlemeleri ve toplumsal meselelere yaklaşımı, onun Türk edebiyatındaki önemini bir kez daha ortaya koymaktadır. Bu çalışma, Peyami Safa'nın hikâyeciliğini detaylı bir şekilde ele alarak, onun edebî kimliğinin anlaşılmasına katkı sunmayı hedeflemektedir.
dc.description.abstractThis study aims to examine the short stories of Peyami Safa, one of the important figures in Turkish literature. Although the author is better known in our literature for his novels, he has also produced noteworthy works in the short story genre. In this thesis, Peyami Safa's short stories are evaluated in terms of their structural features, thematic elements, cast of characters, use of time and space, and language and style. The study first provides a general overview of Peyami Safa's short stories, addressing structural elements frequently encountered in his stories, such as narrator types, plot, and the use of setting and time. The themes explored in the stories are identified and analysed, including topics such as the individual's inner world, psychological analyses, social criticism, and the conflict between tradition and modernisation. Furthermore, the author's linguistic and stylistic characteristics are evaluated, and the position of his stories in literary history is emphasised. The findings reveal that Peyami Safa constructs a powerful narrative in his stories that reflects the individual's inner world and the social structure. The narrative techniques used in the author's works, his psychological analyses, and his approach to social issues once again reveal his importance in Turkish literature. This study aims to contribute to the understanding of Peyami Safa's literary identity by examining his short stories in detail.
