Özet
Türkiye’de 1923 yılında Cumhuriyetin ilan edilmesiyle siyasi, toplumsal ve ekonomik anlamda yeni bir devlet ve yönetim şekli hakim olmuştur. Bu yeni devlette eğitim üzerinde önemle durulan konuların başında gelmektedir. Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun özellikle son 150 yılındaki değişme ve gelişmelerin ardından 1923 yılında Türkiye’de “Cumhuriyet Rejimi” ne geçişle birlikte, Türk toplumunda yeni devlet anlayışı doğrultusunda yetiştirilecek bireylere kazandırılması düşünülen temel niteliklerde önemli ve köklü değişimlerin meydana gelmesi, Türk Toplumunun içinden geçtiği sürecin doğal bir sonucudur. Cumhuriyet idaresinin, eğitim yoluyla yetiştirilecek bireylere kazandırılmasını düşündüğü temel nitelikler, dönemin eğitim politikaları doğrultusunda yeni nesillerden beklentilerini ve devletin hedeflediği yeni insan modelinin özelliklerini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu araştırma, Cumhuriyetin ilanıyla yeni devlette yetiştirilecek bireylere kazandırılmasını düşünülen temel nitelikleri belirlemeyi amaçlamıştır. Araştırmada, Cumhuriyetin ilanıyla birlikte yetiştirilecek bireylere kazandırılması düşünülen 20 temel nitelik tespit edilmiştir. Cumhuriyetin ilanıyla birlikte takip edilen eğitim politikaları ile yetiştirilecek bireylere kazandırılması düşünülen temel nitelikler arasında ciddi bir ilişki olduğu görülmektedir.
After the proclamation of the Republic in Turkey in 1923, a new state and a new form of government have taken the lead regarding politics, society and economy. One of the key focuses of this new state was education. Following the change and development especially during the last 150 years of Ottoman Empire, "the Republican regime" was adopted in Turkey in 1923. Thus, the main qualities thought to be provided to the individuals to be raised have changed prominently and fundamentally in accordance with the new state understanding in Turkish society and this should be considered as a natural consequence of the process that the Turkish society went through. These main qualities thought to be provided to the individuals through education reveal the expectations of the Republican regime from new generations in accordance with the education policies at the time and the characteristics idealized by the state. This research aims to determine the main qualities thought to be provided to the individuals who would be raised in the new state after the proclamation of the Republic. In this research, 20 main qualities thought to be provided to the individuals, who would be raised in the new state after the proclamation of the Republic, were identified. Moreover, it was concluded that there was a significant correlation between the education policies adopted after the proclamation of the Republic and the main qualities thought to be provided to the individuals who would be raised in the new state.
