Özet
Bu çalışma ilköğretim matematik öğretmeni adaylarının analitik geometri problemi çözme sürecini incelemek amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması modeli kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya bir devlet üniversitesinde 2. sınıf düzeyinde öğrenim gören analitik geometri dersi almış altı matematik öğretmeni adayı katılmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri etkinlik kartları ve sesli düşünme protokolü aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Elde edilen verilere içerik analizi uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda, katılımcıların analitik geometri problemlerini anlamada ve problemleri çözmede güçlük yaşadıkları belirlenmiştir. Çalışmaya katılan öğretmenlerin boyut kavramını anlayabildikleri ve cebirsel düşünebildikleri tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca çalışmaya katılan öğretmen adaylarından bazılarının analitik geometri problemi ile karşılaştıklarında heyecan yaşadıkları ve duygularını düzenleyemedikleri belirlenmiştir.
This study was carried out to study the process of solving the problem of analytical geometry by candidates for elementary school mathematics teachers. The study used the case study model, one of the qualitative research methods. The study involved six mathematics teachers who completed a course in analytic geometry at the 2nd-grade level of a state university. Research data was collected using activity cards and a thinking-aloud protocol. Content analysis was applied to the obtained data. As a result of the study, the participants needed help understanding and solving problems of analytical geometry; It is established that there are some misconceptions in connection with these difficulties. It is determined that teachers participating in the study can understand the concept of dimension and think algebraically. In addition, it was found that some of the teachers who participated in the study experienced anxiety when faced with analytical geometry and could not regulate their emotions.
