dc.description.abstractAbstract The novel "The Aleppo Biography" by Walid Ekhlasy seeks to describe the social life of the people of the city of Aleppo during the twentieth century, and highlights what characterized the cultural identity of the society of this city, through its presentation of the components of this identity, At the same time, the novel shows the changes that occurred during this period. This research seeks to follow the evidence of cultural identity in this novel, and highlights the social transformations in the city of Aleppo that emerged in the twentieth century, and led to changes in the cultural identity of the Aleppo community. The choice of this novel comes from the importance of the city of Aleppo in which the events of the novel take place, and from the importance of the stage in which these events took place. It is also seen that the transformation process that affects the cultural identity in contemporary Aleppo society is what changes values and cultures, making this novel an important text.
dc.description.abstractBir toplumun kültürel kimliği sabit ve mutlak bir kimlik değildir, daha ziyade zaman ve mekan koşullarına, yeni kültürlerden kaynaklanan, önceki kültürlerin yanında yaşayan ve bazen onların yerini alabilecek yeni kültürlerin ortaya çıkmasına neden olup sürekli değişim ilkesine tabi olan tarihsel bir süreçtir. Yazar Valid İhlasi'nin "Halep Biyografisi" adlı romanında, Halep halkının yirminci yüzyıl dönemi boyunca sosyal yaşamını sunmaya çalışmaktadır. Bu kentin toplumunun kültürel kimliğinin özelliklerini vurgulamakta ve bu kimliğin kelime haznesini göstermektedir. Aynı zamanda, bu dönemde meydana gelen değişiklikleri de sunmaktadır. Bu araştırma, romanda kültürel kimliğin delillerini izlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Yirminci yüzyılda Halep şehrinde ortaya çıkan sosyal dönüşümlere ışık tutmuş ve Halep topluluğunun kültürel kimliğinde değişikliklere yol açmıştır. Bu romanın seçiminin sebebi; romanda geçen olayların ünlü Halep şehrinde geçiyor olması ve bu olayların gerçekleştiği dönemin önemini vurguluyor olmasıdır. Ayrıca çağdaş Halep toplumunda kültürel kimliği etkileyen dönüşüm sürecinin, bu romanı önemli bir metin haline getirecek şekilde değerleri ve kültürleri değiştiren şey olduğu görülmektedir.
