Özet
Amr b. Peygamber'den destek alarak kabilesini İslam'a davet etme hususunda büyük bir gayret sarf etmiştir. Amr b. Mürre'nin, daha önceleri Medine civarlarında ikamet ederken Hz. Peygamber'in vefatından sonra Şam'a taşındığı ve orada Muaviye b.
'Amr b. Murra al-Juhani was one of the companions of the Prophet and was mostly known by the name Abu Maryam. There is no information in the sources about where and when Amr b. Murra was born. He belonged to the Juhayna tribe, a sub-tribe of the Quda'a tribe of the Qahtanids. Amr b. Murra was one of the prominent leaders of the tribe and was also a forward-thinking and respected figure whose opinion was consulted in the society. According to the sources, Amr b. Murra came to the Prophet and became a Muslim as a result of a dream he had seen. After he became a Muslim, he wanted his tribe to convert to Islam, so he made a great effort to invite his tribe to Islam with the support of the Prophet. It has been reported that Amr b. Murra, who used to reside in the vicinity of Medina, moved to Damascus after the Prophet's death and died there during the caliphate of Mu'awiya b. Abu Sufyan. Therefore, this study aims to reveal the life and Islamic activities of 'Amr b. Murra from his birth until his death.
