dc.description.abstractHumanity has transferred what it has accumulated throughout history to future generations through oral, written or architectural works, and these accumulations have survived in various forms until today. The change that started with the first technological developments - cutting tool production - entered a new era in the transfer of knowledge with the invention of writing. At the same time, cultural development has become more advanced with migrations, wars, technological developments and trade, and has been effective in the differentiation of societies. The city has been a gathering place since the early periods of history and has gradually separated from the countryside with its uniqueness. Although rural areas where agricultural production takes place also have their own culture, the places where the real culture was intensively created and developed were cities. This urban space, which is the subject of a differentiated lifestyle, has been at the center of all conflict centers in history. In this study, it is aimed to discuss the new form that urban culture will take under the influence of globalization and its role in the formation of the new culture that will be transferred to future generations. Using the literature, the process of change, degradation or the formation of a new culture caused by the effects of globalization in cities will be discussed.
dc.description.abstractİnsanlık, tarih boyunca biriktirdiklerini sözlü, yazılı veya mimari yapıtlarla, gelecek kuşaklara aktarmış, bu birikimler günümüze kadar çeşitli biçimlerde gelmiştir. İlk teknolojik gelişmelerle - kesici alet üretimi - başlayan değişim, yazının bulunmasıyla birikimlerin aktarılmasında yeni bir döneme girmiştir. Aynı zamanda kültürel gelişim de göçler, savaşlar, teknolojik gelişmeler ve ticaret ile daha gelişerek, toplumların farklılaşmasında etkili olmuştur. Kent ise tarihin ilk dönemlerinden itibaren bir toplanma yeri olmuş ve kendine özgülüğü ile kırdan giderek ayrılmıştır. Tarımsal üretim yapılan kırsal alanın da kendine özgü bir kültürü olsa da asıl kültürün yoğun olarak yaratıldığı, geliştirildiği yerler Kentler olmuştur. Farklılaşan yaşam biçiminin öznesi olan bu kent mekan, tarihteki bütün çatışma odaklarının da merkezinde yer almıştır. Bu çalışmada kent kültürünün küreselleşme etkisiyle alacağı yeni biçim ve gelecek kuşaklara aktarılacak yeni kültürün oluşumundaki rolünün tartışılması amaçlanmıştır. Literatürden yararlanılarak küreselleşmenin etkilerinin kentlerde yarattığı değişim, bozulma veya yeni bir kültür oluşumu süreci tartışılacaktır.
