dc.description.abstractBilgi çağını yaşadığımız şu günlerde bilim ve bilimin etkinlikleri sonucu ortaya çıkan teknolojiyi takip etmek için okullarda öğrencilerin aldığı fen eğitiminin niteliği ve kalitesi daha fazla önem kazanmıştır. Fen ve teknoloji dersinin amacı " öğrencilerin fen ve teknoloji okur-yazarı olarak yetişmesi" olarak belirlenmiştir. Fen ve teknoloji okur-yazarı olan bireyin bilimin doğasını, bilimsel süreçleri anlaması gerekir. Bu araştırma bilimin doğası konusunun önemine dikkat çekmektedir. Yaşanan gelişmelere paralel olarak önceki ve bu gün geçerli olan bilim anlayışı üzerinde durulacak, bilimin doğası konusunun etkili bir fen eğitimi açısından önemi ve öğrencilere öğretimi tartışılacaktır.
