dc.description.abstractThis qualitative study was designed to reveal the metaphorical perceptions of primary school administrators and teachers about the concepts of "distance education," "teacher," and "student" during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study group consists of 219 participants, with 53 administrators and 166 teachers chosen using maximum diversity sampling. To ascertain the participants' metaphorical perceptions, a semi-structured interview form was used. The content analysis method was used to anlayse the data. According to the findings of the study, administrators' and teachers' metaphorical perceptions are divided into two major categories: "positive" and "negative" in all three concepts. Both administrators and teachers have mostly negative metaphorical perceptions of "distance education" and "distance education students." On the other hand, both participant groups have mostly positive metaphorical perceptions of "distance education teachers." Based on the research findings; suggestions were made to plan the applications that will make the distance education process more effective, interactive and easier, to improve the professional skills of the teachers for the effective management of the distance education process, and to implement the practices that will make the student more active in distance education.
dc.description.abstractİlkokul yönetici ve öğretmenlerinin, COVID-19 pandemisinde; "uzaktan eğitim", "uzaktan eğitimde öğretmen" ve "uzaktan eğitimde öğrenci" kavramlarına ilişkin metaforik algılarını ortaya koymayı amaçlayan bu araştırma nitel bir araştırma olarak tasarlanmıştır. Çalışma grubunu maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesiyle seçilen 53'ü yönetici, 166'sı öğretmen toplam 219 katılımcı oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcıların metaforik algıları yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşme formu aracılığı ile belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Veriler içerik analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre gerek yöneticilerin gerekse öğretmenlerin metaforik algılarının her üç kavramda da "olumlu" ve "olumsuz" olmak üzere iki ana kategoriye ve bu kategoriler altında çeşitli alt kategorilere ayrıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Hem yöneticilerin hem de öğretmenlerin "uzaktan eğitim" ve "uzaktan eğitimde öğrenci"ye ilişkin metaforik algıları çoğunlukla olumsuzdur. Buna karşılık her iki katılımcı grubunda "uzaktan eğitimde öğretmen"e ilişkin metaforik algılar ise çoğunlukla olumludur. Araştırma bulgularına dayalı olarak; uzaktan eğitim sürecini daha etkili, etkileşimli kılabilecek ve kolaylaştıracak uygulamaların planlanması, uzaktan eğitim sürecinin etkili yönetilmesine dönük öğretmenlerin mesleki becerilerinin geliştirilmesi, uzaktan eğitimde öğrenciyi daha aktif kılacak uygulamaların hayata geçirilmesi yönünde önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
