dc.description.abstractObjective: With this research, it was aimed to determine the knowledge level of health worker candidate students about protection from infectious infections, especially COVID. Methods: The sample of the study consisted of a university students from Vocational School of Health Services and Faculty of Pharmacy. The research data were collected by applying the 49-question “Knowledge Levels Questionnaire for Healthcare Professional Candidate Students on Protection from Communicable Infections, Especially COVID” and the “Sociodemographic Information Form” consisting of 7 questions. Data; number, percentile, mean and standard devia-tion, and chi-square test. Results: 3.16% of the students had operating room services, 2.69% dental prosthesis technology, 9.13% dialysis, 10.54% pharmacy services, 4.92% physiotherapy, 4.92% first and emergency aid, 4.92% audiometry, 7.85% orthopedic prosthetics and orthotics, 4.10% medical documentation and secretarial, 7.96% medical imaging techniques, 13.82% were studying in medical laboratory tech-niques, 3.40% in elderly care, 22.60% in pharmacy and 60.77% was determined to be a first year student. 97.9% of the undergraduate students in the Faculty of Pharmacy compared to the students in other departments knew the necessity of paying attention to personal hygiene in order to be protected from infectious diseases, and the difference was statistically significant p <,05. Conclusion: Course contents should be enriched with digital materials to raise awareness against infectious diseases. © 2023, AVES. All rights reserved.en_US
