dc.description.abstractThis research, it is aimed to examine the opinions and suggestions of the school administrators about the policies related to professional development in the 2023 Education Vision document. The research was shaped in the context of case study, which is one of the qualitative research approaches, and the data were collected using a semi-structured interview form. The sample group, whose opinions were consulted in the study, consists of 22 administrators who are working in Erzincan province in 2018-2019 academic year and determined by easily accessible sampling which is one of the purposeful sampling methods. The data were analyzed using content analysis method. NVivo 9.0 program was used in the data analysis process. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that the administrators mostly agree on the use of written exams and objective criteria in the process of assignment to school administration, structuring the school administration as a professional career area based on professional expertise skills and introducing horizontal and vertical career expertise in school administration. In addition, it was concluded that the introduction of a new incentive mechanism and the adoption of the Law on Teaching Profession were generally welcomed by the administrators.
