Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Kastamonu ilinde yaşayan ortaokul öğrencilerin içinde yaşadıkları yakın çevredeki canlı ve cansız çeşitliliğine yönelik farkındalıklarını ortaya koymak ve bu farkındalık durumlarını sınıf düzeylerine göre karşılaştırmaktır. Bu kapsamda, bu araştırmada uygulanmak üzere "Yakın Çevre Farkındalık Testi" geliştirilmiştir ve araştırmada nicel araştırma türlerinden tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Kastamonu il ve ilçelerinde yaşayan toplam 720 ortaokul öğrencisinin yakın çevreye yönelik farkındalıkları farklı değişkenler bakımından irdelenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular analiz edildiğinde öğrencilerin yakın çevre ve canlılara yönelik farkındalıklarının oldukça düşük olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu çalışmada elde edilen sonuçların ve önerilerin değerlendirilmesi halinde, bu alanla ilgili eğitim-öğretim faaliyetlerinde verimliliği artırma noktasında katkı verebileceği düşünülmüştür.
The aim of this study is to reveal the awareness of the secondary school students living in Kastamonu province about the diversity in their immediate environment and to compare these awareness situations according to their class levels. In this context, the "Near Environment Awareness Test" was developed to be used in this research and the survey model, which is a quantitative research type, was used in the research. The awareness of 720 secondary school students living in Kastamonu provinces and districts in the near environment has been examined in terms of different variables. When the findings were analyzed, it was concluded that students' awareness of the environment and living creatures was low. If the results and suggestions obtained in this study are evaluated, it is thought that they can contribute to increase efficiency in educational activities related to this field.
